The book, An Imaginary Place Called Home, which is a collection of visual narratives, was launched on January 9 at Al Riwaq Art Space, where the namesake art display will be open for viewing until February 9.

In collaboration with a renowned artist from Latakia, the four-days watercolor workshop and exhibition focused on live drawing and the development of watercolor techniques under supervision of artist Adawya Dayoub.

Artistic initiative that invites participants to paint together using various techniques and materials, both in the studios of Latakia’s visual artists and in open-air settings. The initiative aims to encourage the act of painting in public spaces such as squares, gardens, and parks highlighting its aesthetic and cultural value. By doing so, it seeks to elevate the region’s visual, cultural, and historical identity in a tangible and creative way, moving beyond mere theoretical appreciation of that identity.
