Over the course of 12 intensive sessions, participants in the Character Design Course at Tishreen University in Latakia, Syria, organized with the support of the Skills and Career Center (SCC) engaged in a comprehensive educational program covering both the theoretical foundations and practical applications of character design. In addition to developing creative and technical skills, the course also introduced participants to career pathways and professional opportunities in the fields of character design and illustration, equipping them with the knowledge to pursue future work in the creative industries.

Starting with the essentials of perspective, anatomy, character development and storyboarding.

The practice included hands-on one-on-one follow-up sessions, complemented by home assignments and regular assessments to support individual progress and deepen understanding of the course material.


The course outcome was a complete project centered on developing an imaginary character within a multi-shot visual narrative, incorporating background design to enhance the storytelling.
